The judging process for the CBC is two fold:

  • Judging of activity done by a jury
  • Judging of activity as measured by stats
Judging done by a Jury

The Organizers (Antaragni '08 and LearnHub) will appoint a Jury, comprising LearnHub Community Leaders. The jury's responsibility will be to judge:
  • The content of lessons in the community
  • The content of tests in the community
  • Discussions & Debates
  • Trivia questions
  • Overall content - formatting and creativity
  • Level of activity and user participation in the community
The motive behind having a jury is to ensure that communities are evaluated on the quality of the content created. You can read more on the jury's judging criteria on this lesson.

There are a number of stats available, such as - number of users, posts, views & user ratings. All these stats will serve as an input to arrive at a consolidated score for the community. The stats take into account net user activity and are therefore useful for judging total participation.

A combination of the scores calculated by the two methods will be the community's final score. This score will reflect the overall performance of a community.

Judging Individual Prizes

There are a host of prizes to be won for individual categories like best lesson, tests, discussions & debates, trivia, courses and most members. The individual prizes are:
  • Best Content (Lessons)
  • Best Tests/Quizzes
  • Best Discussions & Debates
  • Best Trivia Questions
  • Best Courses
  • Most Members
Each community will be evaluated on the above mentioned parameters (lessons, tests, discussion/debate, trivia, courses, members, etc) by the jury and will be awarded a score. The jury score will be combined with a score calculated from the stats, to arrive at the final score.

The community with the highest score for an individual parameter will win the prize for that category. The net score awarded to a community will be the sum of the individual parameter scores for the community.
