Junkyard is a new member of the Fine Arts family in Antaragni'08. And again it is inspired by Mr. Ishan Nand Kishore Awasthi from TZP. Remember he creates a working model of a paddle boat in the boarding school. That is exactly what inspired the organizers to start with this event. IIT Kanpur is a 1050 natural haven where you will find lot of natural junk at your disposal. The organisers provide you other necessary supplies to create a masterpiece of your own.
Few Guidelines:
The only restrictions are on the dimensions of the final art piece which will be revealed before the start of the competition.
The craft piece need not be a working model but if it is a working model you might get extra points for that.
At no point will the teams be allowed to damage any property in the campus. While collecting the junk the teams will have to be cautious to take care of the campus property.
The team members can move around to collect junk but the assembly will have to be done at the assigned spot only.
Please verify the material you are using with the organizers to avoid complications at the matter stage.
Utility of the final piece will get you more points.
Some Ideas:
Waterfall using pebbles, Replica of a motor
car/bike using wood sticks, human figures, anything and everything
which comes out of your imagination. Let your imagination go wild
but use only natural junk.
