Chitraksh: Thematic Painting
Competition
Chitraksh is a regular member of the Fine Arts & Crafts Competitions at Antaragni. This year we have made it more fun by bringing it in the open. The painting competition will be held in the open in a small amphitheatre in Academic Area in IIT Kanpur. The attempt is to transport you to the painting competition in Tare Zameen Par minus the stars. But we hope your creative pieces will be stars in themselves. We are sure the ambience would inspire your creativity and it will be a novel experience.
We would be providing the following supplies:

- Poster Colours
- Basic Stationary (Pencils, Erasers, Blade etc.)
- Paint Brushes & Palette
- Medium (A3 Size cartridge sheets)
- Of course the theme
In case you any other colours like oil,
acrylic which can be used on the regular cartridge sheet please
feel free to bring them along.
Few Instructions:
Judging Pattern:
The jury will sit at a later time to decide the three best paintings and the results will be announced. We may arrange a small session with the judges in case you want to discuss anything with the jury members.
Tip: FOLLOW YOUR OWN STYLE. ORIGINALITY MATTERS!!
Few Instructions:
- The idea and the painting should be an original work of the artist.
- Use only the medium provided by the organizers bearing Antaragni stamp.
- The organizers can use the paintings for exhibitions etc.
- The event will start as per the schedule irrespective of the number of participant reaching there. In case you reach late no extra time would be given.
- It is a time bound event.
We know it restricts creativity but then let us see how well you
can paint under pressure.
