Help Soap Opera
This is another addition to the illustrious list of dramatics competitions at Antaragni'08. The Indian television seems to be taken over by these family soap operas full of melodrama and what not. The idea behind the competition is how well can you as a director, actor, writer do justice to such a stereotypical genre.
The basic funda is as follows:
The Desperate Director
Written recap of a popular running soap or a concoction of soap operas would be provided and team has to prepare a plot for next episode. Our producer is also concerned about falling TRP!!! So she has decided to add some masala by introducing a Mahabharat character in her serial. Put all your head to create the plot and showcase the story on stage through your acting prowess.
Sounds fun!!
Important:
The story would either be from a popular existing TV Series say Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahi Thi or a TV series of our own.
The story would have some typical characters of the Indian Soap Opera.
We advise you to watch at least a few episodes of any of these operas to get an idea about the costumes and make up coz we ain't providing any of it and it's all your responsibility.
